Dr. Sharon Covey, OTR/L
Sharon Covey OTD, OTR/L has pursued her career in Occupational Therapy through three different college degrees. Most recently, she received her post-professional doctorate degree of occupational therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Prior to that, she received occupational therapy degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Cuyahoga Community College. Achieving over 25 years of experience, her clinical expertise has focused on both neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injuries, as well as hand and arm injuries such as wrist and finger fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, and degenerative changes from arthritis.
Dr. Catherine Somerville, PT
Catherine Somerville, PT, DPT graduated from Ithaca College in 2009 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Since then she has had experience working in a variety of settings including orthopedic outpatient,acute care, skilled nursing and long-term care. This experience makes her a versatile clinician able to meet the needs of the Center’s many patients. She is capable of treating neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injuries, as well as lower back and neck pain, hip and knee replacements and sports injuries.
Beth Kuritzky, COTA/L
Beth Kuritzky graduated from Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY in 2001 and became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. After graduating, Beth went on to study massage therapy at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. She has accumulated 16 years of experience working in a variety of settings but has always had a particular interest in stroke recovery. “The Center for Stroke and Hand Recovery provides an amazing amount of support, as well as techniques for patients with various diagnoses. It is truly a blessing to come to the center every day.”
