Dr. Covey received her post-professional doctorate degree of Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. With over 29 years of experience, her clinical expertise has focused on neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injuries, as well as hand and arm injuries such as wrist and finger fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, and degenerative changes from arthritis. Dr. Covey is a certified SAEBO therapist and frequently uses SAEBO products in combination with neurostimulation and manual therapy as part of her highly successful approach for stroke recovery.
Dr. Covey has a large following and often sees success with patients who underwent therapy elsewhere without improvement. With Dr. Covey’s caring and unique therapies, patients are experiencing increases in functionality they never thought possible.
Larissa graduated from Penn State University in 2018 as a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has experience treating various orthopedic conditions and works closely with Dr. Covey
to treat patients with neurological
disorders and hand injuries.
Bethany received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010 from Ohio University. Since then she has worked with patients in multiple settings, including inpatient rehab and skilled nursing. She has been with the Center for Stroke and Hand recovery since 2018 and enjoys working with patients who are experiencing neurological issues. She looks forward to working with her clients to reach their personalized goals and to help them improve their satisfaction with everyday life.
Maura has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2013 after graduating with her Associates Degree in Applied Science and Physical Therapist Assisting from Cuyahoga Community College. Her clinical expertise lies in Geriatric strength training, Neurological rehabilitation, Orthopedic post-op rehabilitation, Balance restoration, Pain management, and Patient education to improve function.
Jeff has over 34 years’ experience in Medical Massage Therapy and Healing Arts. He is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio and the Florida Department of Professional Regulation and is a graduate of the Florida School of Massage. Jeff is proficient at many advanced bodywork techniques including Myofascial Release, Strain-Counterstrain,
PNF, Polarity, Kates Method,

Katherine is the first person you will meet upon entering The Center for Stroke and Hand Recovery. She works with patients to make sure their office experiences are safe, comfortable and convenient. With her background in healthcare, she can accommodate and understand patient concerns and make sure they are addressed during each visit. Katherine has a friendly and welcoming presence and is eager to help you with all your questions and scheduling needs.
Cindy is the newest addition to our front office staff. She comes to us with 5 years’ experience at a Chiropractor’s office. She enjoys greeting our patients and making them feel welcome. She is available to assist you with the check-in process and with scheduling your future appointments. If you have a question while at the office, Cindy
will help find the answer and make
sure your needs are met.
Ziggy is our Therapy Dog Extraordinaire! She is a 5 year old Beagle/Lab mix who
was rescued from Kentucky at the age
of 8 months. Ziggy received her Puppy Obedience diploma in Solon, OH. She
has successfully completed her Good Citizenship Training and Agility Training.
She received her official Therapy Dog Certificate in Russell, OH. Please
